Master Artist Virendra Bannu ji initiates a face-sketching demonstration, providing step-by-step instructions for the process. Join him as he imparts valuable insights into the art of creating facial portraits in miniature paintings.Born in 1965 in Jaipur, Virendra Bannu is a seventh-generation artist and continues the family's artistic legacy in this specialised fine art form. His artistic prowess extends beyond miniatures. He has been credited with designing the captivating tableaux for Rajasthan showcased during the Republic Day Parade. Additionally, he has demonstrated his skills in glasswork, aaraish (murals), gold, and mirror work, as well as wall paintings. The beauty of his work and designs has graced numerous restaurants and residences in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. His work was published in the international publication of a book named ‘Jaipur Gem of India’. In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted his miniature painting of Guru Nanak to the Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. Virendra Bannu is an active participant in lecture demonstrations, art camps, and workshops. With first-class BFA and MFA degrees in Painting, he now leads the Bannu School, where he teaches students from around the world traditional miniature art techniques. Major Awards Received 1.
